Fire-retardant seal of linear joints in massive walls, flexible partition walls and massive floors as well as for watertight sealing of expansion-loaded joints. Sealing and connection without primer on different building materials: Masonry, concrete, plaster, wood and stone.
The surfaces must be free of grease and dust. The surfaces and layers may be damp, but not wet. Corrosion-prone metal substrates must be pre-treated with a primer. Use a back-fill material (e.g. mineral wool) to ensure the depth of the joints is correct. A skin will form within 30 minutes depending on the temperature and relative humidity. Fresh sealant can be removed using a damp cloth.
Before the skin has formed (<30 min), keep the sealant free of water or other liquids. Fresh sealant is completely water soluble and is only suitable for use in weather-protected and dry applications.
